Flourish is inspired by the notion that elements of an entity or organism must work collaboratively to yield the most desirable outcome. The stained maple wood florets form a pattern known as phyllotaxis, a naturally occurring phenomenon through which the arrangement of leaves on a plant spirals in a distinctive pattern in order to absorb the maximum amount of life-sustaining sunlight to achieve optimal health. Phyllotaxis is a befitting metaphor for DaVita whereby every employee plays a critical role and works collectively to give their patients the best possible outcome. Each floret is finished by hand with a unique form and color, representing diversity and compassionate, personalized care provided by the DaVita community.
